Real role of Indian women
Women have been
kept suppressed and under controlled by men for the ages, but still more than
90 percent women feel proud to say I do not take single decision of my home
without the permission of my husband.
This problem is not related to only low educated and poor
section of society even most educated, well professional, with leading position
in career, enjoying all the tools of modern India these women area also not
able to take single decision related to her and their children, then how could
we blame that illiteracy is the reason of women backwardness. As per my
thinking education and empowerment both are different to each other, as per the
description of above lines, this is quite clear that there is not any
similarities between education and empowerment , an uneducated women could be
empower but It is quite possible to a career oriented professional women does
not have any right to take single decision of her life.
Means decision making is the base of empowerment, still
women have been treated as a subordinate of men. India is one of those
countries in the world where right of suffrage was granted to women before
world war second. Political awareness among women before has increased with
time but they are still deprived of decision making position. In the current
political scenario women occupy barely 11 percent of total parliamentary seats,
participation in cabinet is no more than 6 percent, representation in supreme
court and high court is less than 4 percent and in the field of administration
and management merely 3 percent participant. Pattern of marginalization and
subordination that characterized women’s common experiences in patriarchy in
most other power structure, such as the family business enterprises, political
parties, religious organization, labour unions and media establishment are also
noticeable.
The basic factors responsible for insufficient
participation are traditional orthodox thinking, disbelief of society, economic
dependency, heavy load of domestic work and hesitation towards public life
these are the cause of women backwardness.
Now new trend has started in urban and semi-urban areas
of country, men want to get marry to domestic professional lady, means of
domestic professional is a women should be earning and career oriented but she
does not have capability to take her own decision without the permission of
in-laws and lord husband exact means “ bandhua majdoor” There are so many Indian art movies have
explained the situation of domestic in a very emotional way, like Aparna Sen’s
movies Parma, Fire, Warer, and Door
these are few fantastic and best example of agglomeration impersonal niches of
women in India.
According to India’s constitutions, women are legal
citizen of the country and have equal right with men, because of lack of
acceptance from male dominant society, Indian women suffers immensely, women
are responsible for baring children yet they are malnourished and in poor
health condition. Women are also overload in the field and complete all of the
domestic work.
Right to food is going to start now but women cannot take
food before her husband, whenever I think about all these things become
completely upset towards it. Why marriage is quite important for girl?? As per
the context of Indian scenario marriage means to provide free services to the
lord husband. Women in India feel proud to display that they are well
protected and pampered by their husband without realizing that they are making
themselves helpless, so first of all women should be self dependent because in
the absence of self dependency nobody could be empowered
You have given a new perspective in your article to the debate going on women empowerment in our society and media. It has been rightly pointed out that educated women also don't have the freedom they deserve. So how can we related education and the empowerment?
ReplyDeleteEducation cannot be the alone solution to the problem. There are other factors also that are associated with it. Along with women's education, the society need to be educated about the importance of women. A country where women are worshiped and considered as Durga, Lakshmi, Kali and Saraswati, the discrimination in the real world doesn't justify their action.
However the new generation is quite sensitive about the issue and the decade old tradition is slowly going to be disappeared in coming decades. We must be hopeful about this. Also we keep making effort in regard to create awareness about the importance of women.
The article is based on good research. Keep writing... Good luck...
Thanks a lot to understand the real mean of my article.
